Wednesday February 2 at 6.00pm: 1998 Phillip Island Race 11

Holden Racing Team ace Mark Skaife started from on pole for the second race at Phillip Island, following claiming his first victory for the factory team in Race 1.

Craig Lowndes got the jump on his HRT teammate off the line, sailing into the lead.

Skaife came under pressure from Russell Ingall by Turn 1, the pair locking in a race-long battle for second.

A tight field saw battles emerging throughout the 12-lap sprint, with Glenn Seton, John Bowe, Jason Bargwanna and Jason Bright all fighting for the minor positions.

Ingall was unable to unseat Skaife and settled for third, with Lowndes recording a comfortable victory.

Friday February 5 at 6.00pm: 2006 Ipswich Race 17

Championship leader Garth Tander started from the front row at Queensland Raceway, alongside James Courtney.

Tander got the jump on the Ford driver off the line, with Courtney feeling pressure from Craig Lowndes as he ran wide out of Turn 1.

Lowndes continued his attack throughout the opening lap, with Courtney unable to hold off the charging Ford driver.

Tander skipped away out the front, dominating the 400-kilometre race to the flag.
