Broc Feeney challenged for the championship, but despite a strong season, fell short

As 2024 winds down, Supercars.com is ranking the top 10 drivers of the 2024 Repco Supercars Championship, continuing with Broc Feeney, who comes in as our #4.

On face value, Broc Feeney had a great season, winning six races, taking five pole positions and finishing on the podium nearly 60% of the time.

However, he was the second-best driver at Triple Eight Race Engineering in 2024, with Will Brown clinching the championship with a race to spare.

While fourth seems harsh for the driver who finished runner-up, Feeney missed out on the biggest prize in a season his team was the benchmark.

Broc Feeney's season stats

Podiums: 14

Best start: 1st (Bathurst 500, Melbourne, Darwin, Tasmania, Adelaide)

Average start: 4.83

Why we picked him

With more wins than any driver, Feeney knew how to get the job done. Victory in Race 1 at the Bathurst 500 helped Feeney to an early championship lead, which he lost, then regained, then lost again. From Melbourne, Brown led until the chequered flag in Adelaide, but Feeney was always there. However, he missed the podium altogether in Perth, Townsville and Sydney, where Brown claimed at least one trophy. On his day, Feeney is unbeatable. When it wasn't his day, however, Feeney couldn't bring home the result required to put pressure on Brown. All told, Feeney did a great job, ending the year with a 4.83 qualifying average and 5.00 race average. In other seasons, that would be enough to win the title.

What we expect next season

The fire will be burning for Feeney in 2025, having seen his 2023 and 2024 title challenges fall over mid-season. Feeney was brilliant in the closing rounds, finishing second in both enduros, on the podium in both Gold Coast races, and crossing the line first in both Adelaide races. If he repeats that form in the Finals next year, he will be incredibly hard to beat.
