Powerhouse trio to race Pro class Ferrari 296 GT3 entry
Supercars rivals Will Brown and Chaz Mostert will share a Ferrari in a blockbuster line-up at next year's Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour.
New Repco Supercars Championship winner Brown will join forces with Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia winner Mostert and Brazilian factory Ferrari ace Daniel Serra.
The powerhouse trio anchors the Pro class Ferrari 296 GT3 entry from Arise Racing GT in Australia’s International Enduro, to be held on January 31-February 2.
Brown and Mostert fought against each other for championship success in two of Australia’s premier categories in 2024.
The duo finished first and third respectively in the Repco Supercars Championship, Brown claiming his maiden title aboard a Triple Eight Camaro, while Mostert finished third and first Ford home for Walkinshaw Andretti United.
Mostert turned the tables in GT World Challenge Australia, pairing with Liam Talbot to win the title for Arise Racing GT while Brown shared an Audi R8 with Brad Schumacher to finish second.
"I am really excited to join Arise racing GT at the Bathurst 12 hour. After Chaz and Liam beat me in the championship this year, I thought If you can't beat them then you need to join them," Brown said.
"I have watched Arise throughout the year and have noticed how professional and committed they are to winning which is something that excited me. I can't wait to get the mountain and have a crack in the Ferrari."
Mostert added: “I’m excited to be back with Arise Racing GT, we had an awesome year in GT Australia and it will be great to be teaming up with Will and Daniel as they’re both fantastic drivers.
"Also looking forward to teaming back up with my long-time friend and engineer Adam De Borre. Pumped to keep the momentum going for Arise GT."
Serra, a three-time Brazilian Stock Car champion, raced for Conquest Racing and Risi Competizione in this year's IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship, winning the 24 Hours of Daytona.
He is also a two-time class winner at Le Mans, the 2022 IMSA Endurance Cup Champion, and runner-up in the LMGT3 class of the European LeMans Series in 2024 driving for Kessel Racing.
Serra is no stranger to Bathurst, either, having been entered in the 2020 race with HubAuto.
"I’m excited to return to Bathurst. The team had an incredible season in GT Australia, and they know the car and the track very well," Serra said.
"It will be great to have two fast and experienced drivers at Bathurst! I think we have all the ingredients to have a strong race."
Jordan Oon, Arise Racing GT Team Principal, added: “It would be fair to say that in Will Brown and Chaz Mostert we have two of the best drivers in Australia right now. They raced each other hard in both GT World Challenge and Supercars this year and both are driving better than ever.
"It’s hugely exciting to pair them together for our first attempt at the Bathurst 12 Hour and have a factory Ferrari pilot in the form of Daniel Serra join them. It’s the strongest possible combination we could put together.
"Their combination of local knowledge, international experience, Bathurst success and ability to work with the team ensures we have the best chance to put ourselves in a position to challenge for victory.”
Arise Racing GT will field two Ferrari 296 GT3 entries in the 2025 Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour, with the drivers for the team’s Pro-Am entry to be confirmed in due course.
The 2025 Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour will be contested across January 31 – February 2 next year, with tickets, camping and corporate experiences on sale now via the official event website, www.bathurst12hour.com.au
