Aston Martin returns to Bathurst 12 Hour
Famous brand to contest 12 Hour for first time since 2020
Volante Rosso to race Vantage GT3 at upcoming event
Volante Rosso has confirmed its entry for the 2025 Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour, returning Aston Martin to the famed event.
The Sydney-based Volante Rosso squad will compete in the once-around-the-clock endurance race in its Aston Martin Vantage GT3.
The Vantage GT3 is the same car that the team raced in the GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS in 2024.
It marks the first time that the famous UK brand has been represented in the 12 Hour since the 2020, while Volante Rosso is looking to add to its class podium result in the 2023 race.
The Volante Rosso team, headed by Chris Papadopoulos and Josh Hunt, secured the Vantage GT3 midway through 2024 and have an official factory partnership with Aston Martin Racing.
Volante Rosso will confirm its trio of drivers for the Aston entry in due course.
“We are really looking forward to getting back to Bathurst for the 12 Hour,” Hunt said.
“The race is one of the highlights of the Australian and international motorsport calendar and for our team, we feel proud and privileged to be involved.
“We only raced a handful of events with the Aston Martin last year, and we feel we have got a good handle on its character and performance.
“The final make-up of the driver line-up and the look of the car is coming together, and we can’t wait to reveal the details of our Bathurst attack.”
The Repco Bathurst 12 Hour is proudly supported by the NSW Government via its tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW.
