Brad Jones Racing’s double shot bid at a fifth consecutive PIRTEK Pit Stop Challenge will come at Mount Panorama, with the 2023 finals to be held at the Repco Bathurst 1000.

After the preliminary rounds, both BJR crews finished in the top three in the standings, with the regular season ending at the OTR SuperSprint.

BJR took home a combined $7500, with the R&J Batteries Racing & Middy's Racing crew taking top spot and $5500. The SCT Logistics & Pizza Hut Racing crew, meanwhile, was third and won $2000.

Red Bull Ampol Racing split the BJR crews and won $3500, and has a shot to take out its maiden Pit Stop Challenge title.

Penrite Racing finished fourth, and is also in with a shot at winning the $20,000 prize and the Golden Rattle Gun.

The finals will be held on Thursday October 5 at the Repco Bathurst 1000, prior to Practice 1 at this year’s milestone Great Race weekend.

The 2023 Repco Bathurst 1000 will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Great Race at Mount Panorama.

The first semi-final of this year’s PIRTEK Pit Stop Challenge will commence at 12:00pm local time, followed by the second semi at 12:10pm.

The quickest two teams from the semi-finals will progress to the final, which will commence at 12:25pm.

The Heimgartner/Fullwood crew will take on Penrite Racing in the first semi, with Triple Eight battling the Jones/Smith crew in the second.

The PIRTEK Pit Stop Challenge provides the perfect platform to showcase the skills of each crew, with BJR eyeing its fifth title in seven attempts.

DJR Team Penske won the first two editions of the Challenge in 2017 and 2018, with BJR undefeated since.

The 2023 Repco Bathurst 1000 will be held on October 5-8. Tickets are on sale now on Ticketek.com and Supercars.com.
