The WA Historic Touring Car Club will be a highlight feature on the Supercars Perth undercard in 2022.
A variety of production cars from the 1950s to 1972 will go head-to-head at Wanneroo Raceway later this month.
The WA Historic Touring Car Club (WAHTCC) is one of four support categories on the Perth support card.
WAHTCC will be joined by the Dunlop Series, Radical Cup Australia and Haltech V8 SuperUtes.
The historic category sees Holden Monaros and Toranas take on Ford Mustangs and Falcons, as well as Dodge Chargers, Mini Coopers, and Valiants.
New additions to the grid include a Chevy Impala, another 69 Mustang Fastback, and two Minis.
The Group is split into three time periods defined as Group Na (pre-1958), Group Nb (pre-1965) and Group Nc (1966-1972).
The WAHTCC will see local members, with almost every type of car that raced in each period, with at least 20-30 entries set to complete.
"The enthusiasm and support from the members of the WAHTCC in continuing to refurbish these cars to as good if not better standard than when they were manufactured, is testament to the huge enthusiasm still surrounding the Historic Touring Car movement," said Mike Rowe, Chairman of the 2022 Committee.
"The competition year hasn’t yet started, and we have four new members with four more Historic Touring Cars to add to the 75 member cars currently in the club."
"The 2022 season looks like being another stellar year for the club and being nationally televised supporting Supercars is sure to maintain the strong following of the sport."
