Queensland’s biggest annual sporting event is back in 2023, with tickets for the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 going on sale today.

The 2023 addition of the famous event will be the first ever for Supercars newest additions to the grid, the Gen3 Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro, that will take to the concrete canyon around Surfers Paradise from 26-28 October.

After a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19, a record crowd attended the Gold Coast 500 last October for the return of the famed event, with 200,232 fans passing through the gates across three days of action in the Queensland sun.

Naming rights partner of the event, Boost Mobile, announced earlier this month that it is continuing both as the Official Telecommunications Partner of the Repco Supercars Championship and the naming rights partner of the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 for a further two years, following the success of the 2022 event.

"We cannot wait to bring the party back to the Gold Coast in October," said Boost Mobile co-founder Peter Adderton.

"The return of the event in 2022 was a massive success with huge crowds turning out to welcome back Supercars and take in the best in entertainment the Gold Coast has to offer. The Gold Coast has long been home to one of the biggest motorsport events in Australia and no doubt the biggest party, the is a perfect fit for Boost Mobile.

"We owe it to the fans to step it up even further in 2023, so we are looking forward to putting on an even bigger Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 later this year."

First held as an IndyCar event in 1991, this year marks the 31st running of the famed event, and the 27th time Supercars has raced on the famous street circuit alongside the stunning Surfers Paradise coastline.

"Racing on the streets of the Gold Coast has been a staple of our championship for decades, and we are thrilled to announce tickets are now on sale for the 31st edition of the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500," said Mark Pejic, Supercars’ Chief Strategy & Revenue Officer.

"The event is one of the highlights of our season, and over 200,000 people saw exactly why in 2022. Gold Coast is one of the most challenging circuits on the Supercars calendar and of course home of some of the best off-track entertainment and of course one of the best atmospheres we see all year.

"Everyone in our championship enjoys racing on the Gold Coast, and we are eagerly looking forward to putting on an even bigger Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 in October."

Music acts will be announced for the event in coming months, while Supercars will be supported on track by the Porsche Carrera Cup Series and V8 SuperUtes that have already been confirmed to join this year’s event.

The Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 is the penultimate event on the 2023 Repco Supercars Championship calendar, taking place October 26-28 on the streets of Surfers Paradise.

Tickets for the highly anticipated event can be found via Ticketek.

The 2023 Repco Supercars Championship will resume at the Beaurepaires Melbourne SuperSprint on March 30-April 2.
