The iconic red, yellow and white will return with the Shell V-Power Racing Team in 2022.

Dick Johnson Racing launched its Ford Mustang livery for Anton De Pasquale and Will Davison on Wednesday.

This year marks DJRs’s sixth with primary sponsorship from Shell, which uses the Ford squad to promote its V-Power fuel brand.

DJR has run a consistent look since Shell came onboard in 2017.

That remains in 2022, with the popular look reflected by fans voting DJR as Best Presented Team in 2021.

The new season presents an opportunity for DJR to capitalise on its continuity, with both driver-engineer relationships carrying into 2021.

De Pasquale will again be engineering by Ludo Lacroix, with Davison to be skippered by Richard Harris.

Chairman Emeritus and DJR co-owner Dr Ryan Story believes the continuity will play into his team’s hands.

"We’re excited to not only launch our 2022 Repco Supercars Championship season but also get back on the road to see our long-term and new partners, as well as our incredible supporters across Australia and New Zealand," Story said.

"In 2021, Anton and Will were fantastic for the Shell V-Power Racing Team, with their strong results on track throughout the year.

"The consistency and stability within team during the summer break instils great confidence that they will continue to perform at the top of their game throughout the entire 2022 season."

Davison and De Pasquale finished fourth and sixth overall in 2021, and helped DJR to second in the teams’ championship.

De Pasquale scored six race wins and 11 poles, which helped him clinch the ARMOR ALL Pole Champion Award.

"I’ve been with the team for a full season now," De Pasquale said.

"Having the same crew behind me this year means I can continue to build on the momentum we had at the end of last year and continue to deliver results for the team, our partners and fans."

Davison, meanwhile, wants to improve on fourth as he seeks his first race victory since 2016.

"Having continuity with the same crew supporting me from last season builds a great base for season 2022," the two-time Bathurst winner said.

"Finishing fourth in the drivers' championship last year has made me hungrier to finish higher again in 2022."

Executive General Manager Consumer Viva Energy Australia Megan Foster added: "The Shell V-Power Racing Team is Australia’s favourite race team, and we are proud to support Anton, Will and the entire crew.

"Our association with Dick Johnson Racing has a strong legacy and we are excited to see the team contend for both the drivers' and teams’ championships in the 2022 championship."
