Gold Coast 500 schedule locked in

Dual 250km races will headline the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 schedule.
The 2022 season will continue at the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 on October 28-30.
Tickets for the event are on sale now.
The Surfers streets will host Supercars for the first time since 2019 and, for the first time since 2009, solo races.
The Gold Coast event was a two-driver enduro round between 2010 and 2019.
However, never before have drivers tackled a race of this length on their own at Surfers Paradise.
Drivers will complete two 250km, 85-lap races - one on Saturday, and one on Sunday.
This is the third major format change for Supercars since it began racing along the Surfers beaches nearly 30 years ago.
Between 1994 and 2009, Supercars completed sprint races around the longer circuit.
The Gold Coast event became an official championship round in 2002.
The circuit was shortened in 2010, and drivers were paired up for 300km races.
Refuelling will remain, but the races have been shortened by 50km, and the main drivers will be the only ones behind the wheel.
The Gold Coast 600 format allowed for a driver to complete no more than 68 laps in a race.
ARMOR ALL Qualifying and a Top Ten Shootout will set the grids for both 85-lap races.
The Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 will be the third round this season to feature 250km races after Sydney and Townsville.
The dual 250km format will also round out the 2022 Repco Supercars Championship in Adelaide on December 1-4.
Porsche Carrera Cup, V8 SuperUtes and S5000 will also compete alongside Supercars on the Gold Coast.
