It marked Feeney’s third win in four starts this season, with the Triple Eight Race Engineering driver extending his Dunlop Super2 Series lead.

The 18-year-old was untouchable all weekend; he topped both Friday practice sessions, claimed both ARMOR ALL Pole Positions, and won Saturday’s Race 1.

Tim Blanchard was five seconds adrift in second, with Jayden Ojeda 1.7s back in third.

Feeney led away from pole and quickly edged away from the chasing pack.

However, his charge was stifled almost immediately; on lap 2, Triple Eight teammate Angelo Mouzouris was turned around by an out-of-control Aaron Seton.

Seton barrelled down the inside at Turn 2, locked the inside front, and careened into the unsuspecting Mouzouris.

Mouzouris was able to return to pit lane, but with Seton out on the spot, the race was neutralised by the BP Ultimate Safety Car.

Zane Morse also suffered major damage in the melee after driving into the rear of Josh Fife, who was taking avoiding action of Seton.

The race restarted on lap 6, and Blanchard attempted to stay with Feeney.

Ojeda and Zak Best shadowed Blanchard, with Tyler Everingham fifth ahead of Jordan Boys, Matt McLean and Matt Chahda.

Ojeda tried desperately to clear Blanchard, and the duo fought through the sixth lap side by side.

It brought Best into the battle, but allowed Feeney to skip away into a two-second lead.

However, Feeney’s margin was again wiped away when Chris Smerdon came to a halt at Turn 12.

The race restarted on lap 10, and Blanchard again went with Feeney.

Boys hounded Best and the duo ran down to Turn 2 on lap 12 line astern.

McLean followed Boys through, with Best losing two positions in a heartbeat.

Desperate not to let Boys and McLean get away, Best hit the rear of McLean at Turn 11, bringing Chahda into contention.

On lap 15, both McLean and Chahda went long at Turn 2, with Everingham enjoying easy passage into sixth.

The two Safety Car interventions ensured the race was shortened to 16 laps, but it did little to prevent a Feeney clean sweep.

Jordan Boys was eight seconds from Feeney in fourth, with Best fifth.

Everingham, Declan Fraser, McLean and Jon McCorkindale were covered by 3.4s, with Jack Sipp rounding out the top 10.

Nash Morris won the Super3 class in 13th outright , one position and four seconds ahead of Michael Anderson.

The Dunlop Super2 and Dunlop Super3 Series will return next weekend for the WD-40 Townsville SuperSprint.
