  • Chevrolet took home 2024 Champion Manufacturer title

  • Camaros won 16 races to Ford's eight in 24-race, 12-round year

  • Chevrolets won first eight races, before Ford won seven of next 10

General Motors is proud to remain unbeaten in the Champion Manufacturer race in Supercars’ Gen3 era, following a hotly-contested 2024 season.

Chevrolets won 16 races to Ford’s eight in the 2024 Repco Supercars Championship, with runaway champions Triple Eight Race Engineering winning 11 races alone.

Matt Stone Racing (two wins), Erebus Motorsport (two) and Brad Jones Racing (one) also visited victory lane this season.

Ford squads Tickford Racing (four wins), Walkinshaw Andretti United (three) and Penrite Racing (one) also won races, with Ford teams filling positions two through five in the teams’ standings.

Triple Eight was the ultimate benchmark, Will Brown beating teammate Broc Feeney to the drivers’ title, with the Banyo squad sealing the teams’ title with two rounds to go.

In a topsy-turvy season, Camaros won the first eight races in Bathurst, Melbourne and New Zealand, before Mustangs won seven of the next 10.

Erebus returned to form and dominated Bathurst and the Gold Coast finale, with Feeney and Brown snapping Triple Eight’s street circuit hoodoo to share the Adelaide wins.

The strong finish to 2024 ensures Chevrolet again won both championships and, with it, the manufacturer crown.

“From everyone here at GM we’d like to congratulate Will, Broc Feeney and the entire team at Red Bull Ampol Racing for a superb year behind the wheel of the Chevrolet Camaro,” Chevrolet Racing General Manager Chris Payne said.

“This year’s championship has been hard fought, and to see the title go down to the last round in Adelaide was fantastic to watch, and a very popular win for Will.

“For Chevrolet (GM ANZ) to win the manufacturers’ title for a second consecutive year, in the new Gen3 era, is something we’re extremely proud of and would like to thank all the teams and our technical partners, in particular KRE Race Engines, for contributing to the success of the Camaro on track.

"Each team in pit lane has put in some exceptional performances this year and we must acknowledge and say a huge congratulations to Brodie, Todd and the entire Erebus Motorsport crew for their perfect performance to win the Great Race in Bathurst.

“To see Matt Stone Racing pick up not one but two race wins this season is a testament to the strength and direction of this smaller Queensland-based outfit and we look forward to working with MSR and being part of their future journey moving forward.”
