South Australia’s rich motorsport history will be represented in Supercars, starting with next weekend’s VALO Adelaide 500.

The state will host two events in 2023 — the OTR SuperSprint, and VALO Adelaide 500.

The two events are part of the 12-round 2023 Repco Supercars Championship.

Next weekend’s Adelaide round is the first under a new five-year deal.

Adelaide will conclude Supercars seasons until at least 2026.

The Adelaide 500 will make a triumphant return for the first time since February 2020.

The Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the 2022 event will he headlined by blockbuster concerts.

International rock act The Killers will headline Sunday’s concert.

Local acts Lime Cordiale, The Presets and Baker Boy will perform on the Friday night.

On Saturday, Aussie rock royalty Jimmy Barnes, ICEHOUSE and Noiseworks will take to the stage.

The Bend Motorsport Park will host its seventh championship round on August 18-20, 2023.

The OTR SuperSprint was first held in 2018 shortly after the world-class circuit was opened.

The Bend will host a round in August 2023

Adelaide, meanwhile, opened Supercars seasons between 1999 and 2020.

The city first hosted the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix in 1985, and did so until 1995.

The 2023 Adelaide Motorsport Festival will be held on March 24-26.

South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas was delighted to have the state again prominently feature in Australia’s motorsport landscape.

“We're thrilled to have the VALO Adelaide 500 back as the Supercar season finale,” Premier Malinauskas said.

"This year's race is already shaping as a huge drawcard, delivering important economic benefits to our state.

"With two Supercar rounds next year, South Australia is again at the heart of Motorsport."

The 2022 Repco Supercars Championship will conclude on the Adelaide streets on December 1-4.

Tickets for the event are on sale on Supercars.com and Ticketek.com.
