Aaron Seton has been penalised 25 series points after taking out Angelo Mouzouris in the Sunday Dunlop Super2 Series race in Townsville.
On the second lap of the race, which was won by Broc Feeney, Seton locked up at Turn 2 and wiped out Mouzouris.
Seton was out on the spot, with his Matt Stone Racing entry suffering heavy front damage.
Mouzouris returned to pit lane, but was forced to retire with terminal rear suspension damage.
“Following a review of the Broadcast footage, the Stewards in consultation with the DRD and DSA determined Car 30, Aaron Seton in breach of Schedule B2 – Article 2.1.1 Careless Driving,” the stewards report reads.
“Car 30 made contact with Car 6 at Turn 2 on Lap 2 resulting in Car 6 retiring from Race 2.
“The Stewards imposed a penalty of Loss of 25 Driver Championship Points on Car 30.”
Seton drops one spot to 13th in the series, behind Eggleston Motorsport driver Jack Sipp.
Jordan Boys was also hit with a time penalty over a lap 10 incident with Tyler Everingham.
Boys drops from fourth to fifth in the results, with Tickford Racing’s Zak best promoted.
The Dunlop Super2 and Dunlop Super3 Series returns to support the WD-40 Townsville SuperSprint next weekend.
