Supercars is thrilled to announce another memorable year at the Great Race, with 193,219 passionate fans attending the 2024 Repco Bathurst 1000.

This year’s figure contributes to a total of 4.82 million fans who have attended the event since 1995.

The 2024 edition of the Repco Bathurst 1000 featured several landmark moments, including the inaugural Track to Town event on the eve of on-track action where for the first time ever, the full grid of race cars made their way from the Mount Panorama circuit into Bathurst’s CBD.

Thousands of fans flocked to witness to the Street Party where a live television program was broadcast to viewers around the world.

Adding to the excitement, thousands of fans poured into the pit garages over the weekend to get up close with the Toyota GR Supra full-scale clay model that will arrive on the Supercars grid in 2026.

Supercars CEO Shane Howard said: “We are incredibly proud of the ongoing support from our fans, who continue to show their passion for the Repco Bathurst 1000 year after year.

With over 193,000 fans joining us this weekend, the Great Race remains one of Australia’s most loved sporting events, steeped in history and tradition.

“As always, we are incredibly proud that the event filled more than 7000 campsites and enjoyed the unique atmosphere that only Mount Panorama can provide.

“The sight of thousands of campers celebrating around the mountain throughout the weekend underscores the incredible community spirit that the Bathurst 1000 fosters every year.”

Also announced at Bathurst this weekend were the new race formats and finals series for 2025 — one of the most significant changes in the history of Australian Touring Car racing.

These exciting new formats will have huge implications for drivers and teams when they next battle at Mount Panorama in the 2025 Repco Bathurst 1000 from October 9-12.

The 2024 Repco Supercars Championship will resume at the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 on October 25-27. Tickets for the event are on sale now.
