The countdown to the 2024 Repco Bathurst 1000 is well and truly on, with Supercars, Foxtel, and the Seven Network holding a media event on Sydney Harbour ahead of next weekend’s race.

On-track action at Mount Panorama begins in 10 days with Supercars practice, with the 1000-kilometre Great Race taking place on Sunday October 13.

Four of the biggest names associated with famed race event were on hand in Sydney on Monday, including defending winner Richie Stanaway, five-time Bathurst winner Garth Tander, 2010 Supercars champion James Courtney, and Jack Perkins, son of six-time winner Larry Perkins.

Supercars CEO Shane Howard was also in attendance, joined by Foxtel Group CEO Patrick Delany and Seven West Media CEO and Managing Director Jeff Howard.

Foxtel and the Seven Network will carry live coverage of the Great Race, with over 40 hours of coverage scheduled over five days in Bathurst.

Festivities in Bathurst get underway Wednesday October 9 with the Repco Bathurst 1000 Street Party in Bathurst CBD.

All 26 Supercars entered in the Great Race will drive from Mount Panorama Circuit to the street party in Russell Street, which will also include an all-driver signing session, the PIRTEK Pit Stop Challenge Finals, and a television production broadcast live on Foxtel.

On-track action at the 2024 Repco Bathurst 1000 begins Thursday October 10 with Supercars practice sessions, followed by Boost Mobile Qualifying on Friday.

The Boost Mobile Top Ten Shootout features on Saturday, with the 161-lap endurance classic scheduled to begin at 11:30am AEDT on Sunday.

Grove Racing driver Stanaway heads into the event as the defending race winner, having won the 2023 Bathurst 1000 with Shane van Gisbergen.

Triple Eight Race Engineering driver Will Brown leads the championship into the event on the back of his win at the Penrite Oil Sandown 500, with Chaz Mostert and Broc Feeney in second and third.

Live coverage of the Repco Bathurst 1000 can be found on Foxtel and the Seven Network, with live streaming available on Kayo and 7plus.
