Andre Heimgartner has welcomed a new member to his young family ahead of the Penrite Oil Sandown 500, the Brad Jones Racing driver has revealed.
Perth-based Heimgartner and fiancé Jemma Boskovich, who became parents for the first time last April, are celebrating the birth of their second child.
The BJR driver revealed the arrival of son Andre Jr. on social media on Monday, just four days out from track action at Sandown.
The couple welcomed daughter Summer in the lead-up to last year's Grand Prix event, with Heimgartner duly racing to the podium that weekend.
The Kiwi, who will race with Declan Fraser at the enduros, posted to social media: "You have our whole heart. Welcome to the world little Dre."
Heimgartner is one of seven fathers on the 2024 Repco Supercars Championship grid, along with Chaz Mostert, Will Davison, James Courtney, Tim Slade, David Reynolds and Mark Winterbottom.
Jack Le Brocq and wife Kenzie and also expecting their first child.
Track action will commence at the Penrite Oil Sandown 500 on Friday.
