Several teams have elected to shuffle around their pre-enduro testing schedules ahead of the Penrite Oil Sandown 500.

The first pre-enduro test day of the season is being held today at Winton, with the wildcard Matt Chahda Motorsport Camaro running with Super2 aces Matt Chahda and Brad Vaughan.

Brad Jones Racing were scheduled to run their four Camaros for their first of two pre-enduro test days alongside the wildcard MCM Camaro today.

However, the Albury squad elected to postpone their first test day, which will allow the team more time to repair the Camaro of Jaxon Evans after his heavy crash in Tasmania.

In a video released to the team’s social media pages on Friday, team owner Brad Jones provided an update on the extensive damage inflicted to the #12 Camaro.

“The left rear was totally broken, left front there was a fair bit of damage, there was right rear damage as well where the axles punched through the transaxle and did some damage to the opposite side,” said Jones.

“When I put a straight edge on the rear clip, I can see daylight under there so the rear clip is quite tweaked as well.”

Brad Jones Racing will now have their first pre-enduro test day on Tuesday September 3 at Winton, and will back up the following day for a second test, while also testing their Dunlop Series entries of Cody Gillis and Elliott Cleary.

There has also been a change of the testing schedule at Queensland Raceway, after confirmation that Campbell Little’s funeral will be held next Monday, September 2.

Triple Eight, Dick Johnson Racing, Matt Stone Racing, and PremiAir Racing were all due to test in Ipswich on Monday, but have all elected to postpone the test by a day.

The Repco Supercars Championship shifts into enduro mode at the Penrite Oil Sandown 500 from September 13-15. Tickets for the 60th anniversary event are on sale now through the Supercars.com website here.
