Supercars championship contenders Chaz Mostert and Broc Feeney will shift their gaze to Bathurst after encountering challenging races in Indianapolis and Monza respectively.

Mostert was one of three Australians in the GTD Pro class SunEnergy1 Mercedes-AMG GT3 alongside two-time Bathurst 12 Hour winner Kenny Habul and Jordan Love.

The trio finished seventh after six hours of racing, with Mostert sliding through the grass after a clash with the Louis Deletraz/Jordan Taylor Acura, which was on for third place overall.

The incident gifted the final podium position to the Penske Porsche 963 of Mathieu Jaminet and Nick Tandy, with BMW M Team RLL delivering a historic one-two finish for its pair of BMW M Hybrid V8s.

Across to Italy, Triple Eight star Feeney was competing in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup round at Monza.

Feeney was entered alongside Oman-born driver Al Faisal Al Zubair and Austrian Dominik Baumann in an AlManar/GetSpeed Mercedes-AMG.

The race began with drama at the first chicane, with the Feeney/Al Zubair/Baumann trio's race ultimately cut short after an early collision, turning in just six laps.

OQ by Oman Racing’s Bronze Cup-entered No. 30 BMW M4 GT3 claimed an historic, first-ever overall victory for a non-Pro entry in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS.

Jens Klingmann held off Dries Vanthoor and Alessandro Pier Guidi to win the three-hour race at the Italian circuit, leading a one-two for Team WRT.

Mostert and Feeney, 189 and 222 points behind Will Brown respectively, will return to Australia to prepare for the upcoming Repco Bathurst 1000 on October 10-13.
