A bumper rookie line-up will headline the return of the Dunlop Super2 Series at the Beaurepaires Sydney SuperNight.

Seven rookies will feature in the season-opening Sydney event on March 4-6.

Nash Morris, Matt Payne, Elly Morrow, Thomas Maxwell, Cameron Crick, Jay Hanson and Cameron Hill have joined the Super2 grid.

The rookies bring a wide range of experience across various categories, from Super3 and SuperUtes to Porsche Carrera Cup and TCR Australia.

Grove Racing recruit Payne, who made his Super2 debut at SMSP last November, will contest his first full-time series campaign aboard a Grove Nissan Altima.

The New Zealand teenager will be one to watch, having impressed during his Super2 outings in Sydney and Bathurst.

Reigning title winners Triple Eight confirmed an all-new driver line-up for 2022, with rookie Hill making the switch from Porsche Carrera Cup.

The 2021 Carrera Cup title winner completed his second day of pre-season testing at Queensland Raceway on Wednesday.

Super3 graduates Morris and Morrow will be in action in Sydney, the former clinching the Super3 title in 2021.

Morrow, 22, returned to the Super3 grid in Sydney last November, and finished third overall for the weekend in Bathurst last December.

Erebus Academy driver Hanson will debut for Image Racing next month, adding to his busy schedule in the TCR series.

Morris celebrating his Super3 title

The 18-year-old took his first victory in the TCR category on Sunday at Symmons Plains.

Like Payne, Hanson has an impressive junior resume, having won 12 Victorian State championships and two Australian titles in karting, along with an impressive run in Formula Ford.

Experienced ute racer Crick will have a point to prove against his SuperUte rival Ryal Harris.

The seasoned duo will make their maiden runs in a Supercar at the Sydney venue in two weeks' time.

Crick’s Eggleston Motorsport teammate Matt McLean was the leading rookie in 2021.
