The Gen3 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 has turned its first laps.
The Gen3 Camaro took to Queensland Raceway on Wednesday, with Ash Walsh also steering the Gen3 Ford Mustang.
It comes a week after the Gen3 Mustang turned its first laps with Alex Davison at the wheel at the same circuit.
The Camaro has been developed by General Motors’ homologation team, Triple Eight Race Engineering.
With Broc Feeney behind the wheel, the car was sent out for its first run behind closed doors.
Supercars Head of Motorsport Adrian Burgess explained the significance of the recent running.
"It's another significant day in Supercars history with the Camaro taking its first run at QR," Burgess told Supercars.com.
"Everything went as planned, it was a successful day.
"We rolled out nearly 200 kilometres relatively trouble-free, marking a successful shakedown."
Both the Gen3 Camaro and Mustang will be officially unveiled on Friday, 3 December at Mount Panorama.
Gen3 cars will carry out on-track exhibitions at events in 2022.
