The shakedown days for teams to first run their own Gen3 Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro Supercars have been pencilled in following a meeting between Supercars and all teams.

Following the conclusion of the 2022 Repco Supercars Championship at the VALO Adelaide 500, teams will continue the intense build programme of their own Gen3 race cars.

The shakedown days have been unanimously agreed and have now been pencilled in for Monday January 30 for the Queensland-based teams at Queensland Raceway, and Wednesday February 1 for the Victorian teams at Winton.

Victorian teams will first officially hold a full test day again at Winton on Tuesday February 7, while the Queensland teams will test on Thursday February 9 at the Ipswich circuit.

The testing programme is set to be completed at Sydney Motorsport Park on Wednesday February 22, where all teams will come together for final preparations ahead of the 2023 Repco Championship.

The Gen3 Mustang and Camaro prototypes have completed extensive testing throughout 2022, which finished up at Wellcamp Airport near Toowoomba last week with the straight-line VCAT testing.

The 2023 Repco Supercars Championship, the season of racing between the Gen3 Chevrolet Camaro and Gen3 Ford Mustang, will commence on March 10-12 with the Newcastle 500.

All the shakedown and test days will be open to the public.

Tickets for the Newcastle event, the first of the Gen3 era, are on sale now through Supercars.com and Ticketek.com.
