Brodie Kostecki says Will Brown "knows what he has to do"

Kostecki closed out 2023 championship in Adelaide after leading
Brodie Kostecki is good friends with championship favourite Will Brown, but didn’t shed much light into advice for his former teammate heading to the Adelaide title decider.
Brown leads Triple Eight teammate Broc Feeney by 180 points heading to the season-ending VAILO Adelaide 500 on November 14-17. Tickets for the event are on sale now.
Should Brown end Saturday 151 points ahead of Feeney, he will clinch the championship with around round to spare.
Kostecki was in a similar situation 12 months ago, when he led Shane van Gisbergen going into the final round of the 2023 season.
Coincidentally, Brown crashed out of the Saturday race with van Gisbergen on the opening lap in an incident which guaranteed Kostecki the crown.
Following his Gold Coast win, when asked if he had any advice for Brown, Kostecki said: “I think he knows what he has to do.”
In response, Brown joked: “Do I?”
Brown has his own plan, however, saying: "I think I'll go there and try and win a race.
"At the end of the day, you qualify up the front, you stay out of the mess.
"Qualifying second today and running second all day, I wasn't really any chance, well there's always a chance, of getting caught up in any crashes.
"There's no point going there and trying to be conservative. I'll try and qualify as far up as I can, and try and win another race."
Brown and Feeney will fight for the 2024 Repco Supercars Championship in Adelaide. On track action begins on Thursday November 14 with Practice 1.
